DUNIYA comes to Maui!!!! For 2 concerts & Dance and Drum WorkshopsDUNIYA is a powerful, high energy, West African Band featuring musicians from Mali and California. They will be on the island of Maui from December 6th-13th. They will be performing 2 nights
Wednesday December 11th @ The Blue Mountain Temple 7pm
Thursday December 12th @ Da playground 7pm
All of the members of DUNIYA (Moussa Camara, Mariam Diakate, Ben Isaacs, Greg Fletcher, & Max Rea) are lifelong practitioners of African drum and dance and will be teaching djembe/dundun and Malian dance classes every day. This maybe the first time having a Malian dance teacher on island(Mariam Diakate) and with such a powerful group of drummers, these classes will be AMAZING!!!!!
